An Inside On "A Mine Of Musical Talent" With Monoir

I would classify myself as a “free” artist. I love expressing myself through every possible way. Of course music is my main thing but I also love doing other things that are in the “art” part.

Creating music sounds easy; note down a few words on a piece of paper add some sound and you got it! Absolutely NOT! Music is a feeling before anything else. And the feeling comes from within a soul full of musical passion that turns into a mine of talents that continues to explore, discover and flourish.

Cristian Tarcea aka Monoir's career boomed in recent years, both as the producer behind established artists like Kate Linn, Dharia, Brianna, Sandra N or Starla Edney and as a singer & songwriter who has proven the ability to experiment with musical tones, beats, lyrics to always create a magical piece of work! He's generated waves of enthusiasm around the world with his productions in the past few years with over 500K + listeners on Spotify.

And some "Exclusive" news on the story behind his latest release "Incredible".

What kind of artist would you classify yourself as?

I would classify myself as a “free” artist. I love expressing myself through every possible way. Of course music is my main thing but I also love doing other things that are in the “art” part.

What does the new Track "Incredible" mean to you?

Incredible is an incredible situation that has brought “Dharia” to me. This is what united us. Incredible is the first idea that Dharia sent me through a vocal note in 2016. That’s when I got hooked with her abilities and talent, and that was to be the current track that you can hear as Incredible in 2022.

How was the collaboration process like with Dharia when creating the music?

As usual, working with Dharia is like you’d work with a pro artist. She’s talented and she knows where to situate herself as vocalist/artist/creator and it’s a pleasure as always to see her express on my productions.

As an artist, are there any challenges you face when producing your music? If so, can you provide an example and how you overcome the challenge?

Biggest Challenge is to get better and better and overpass yourself in everything you do. This is one of the hardest things. Also the fanbase is always having high expectations on everything you do so it creates a bit of pressure on us artists/creators but the only thing to overcome it is to not overthink. A thing that we do and we can’t stop it so.. I guess we can’t overcome it. We just need to go with the flow.

What skills have you gained in the past year that have helped your career?

More and more hearing abilities regarding mixing. I’ve had some little issues that pushed my hearing into the next level when it comes to work with frequencies, sounds and other things. This is called Tinnitus and I try to see it as a friend now. I guess at the end of the day it made me a better producer and listener and I’m more cautious when I’m mixing and choosing sounds in a way that they sound pleasing at any moment of the track or volume.
