Can you share a bit about your journey into the music industry and what inspired you to become a pop artist?

‍

Music was the glue in my family growing up. I was lucky to have been introduced to it as a child, put in front of a piano at 5 and started writing at 6. It was always something that felt truly me.

Your music has a vibrant pop sound. How would you describe your musical style, and are there specific artists or genres that have influenced your sound?

‍

Naturally I think I’ve been influenced by 80s/90s sound and songwriting style, I love strong melodies and really singing. I think that makes me stand apart.

Walk us through your creative process. How do you typically approach writing and producing a new song? Is there a particular theme or message you aim to convey through your music?

‍

I write so much when I’m out in public. I love taking stories from my surroundings. I think wherever there is inspiration there is a new idea to be written. Sometimes studio sometimes out and about. 

‍

Your latest release FIREALRAM has been receiving a lot of attention. Can you tell us about the inspiration behind the song and what you hope listeners take away from it?

‍

I wanted the message to be one of resilience and confidence, especially a new single being released by my new label. It is a new era. I wanted it to feel strong and give people an idea of how my journey has been so far in this industry.

Nothing has been given, all has been learned and earned.

You've collaborated with big known artists like Karl Wolf. How do you choose your collaborators, and how does the collaborative process impact your music?

‍

Well KW is now my new manager and he produced this song as well! Honestly when we got in studio we just looked at eachother and I knew we had to be on it together. It was perfect. As far as choosing, I just go with the flow and if someone sends me a track I really like I’m always open to listen.

What would you consider to be the highlight of your career so far? Any memorable performances or moments that stand out to you?

‍

I still remember my first originals show. I will never forget the feeling of sharing my music written from my own thoughts. It was so cathartic. That was a special memory.

Your Instagram presence is vibrant and engaging. How do you use social media to connect with your fans, and what role do your followers play in your musical journey?

‍

I love talking to people on my socials! I often might be on there too much saying thank you to those that share or interact. Socials are huge for artists. So any extra efforts a follower or fan makes, I’m always so thankful.

Can you give us a sneak peek into what's next for Dani Doucette? Any upcoming projects or exciting plans for the future?

‍

We are cooking up some realllyyyy cool new tracks. Shows. Videos. Whole gammit. I can’t wait.

Outside of music, what are some of your interests and hobbies? How do these aspects of your life influence your artistic expression?

‍

What most wouldn’t know is I’m a huge outdoorswoman. I love being in nature. Fishing and camping. I love playing competitive volleyball and used to play on leagues. Fashion is a big part of my story as well and something I love designing on the side. I often wear my own designs.

What advice do you have for aspiring pop artists who are working to make a name for themselves in the music industry?

‍

Find your community and give the support you expect to get. It’s a delicate balance of give and take.
