Thanks for having me it’s really a pleasure to be here. My journey on stage actually started when I was very young with classical ballet. That disciplined foundation led me to modern dance, then theater, and eventually musical theater. I’ve had the chance to perform in many musicals across the US and Europe.
When I returned to Turkey, I became a lead vocalist with Enbe Orchestra, which holds a really special place in Turkish pop music. I also took part in various musical projects around Turkey.
But at some point, I felt a strong desire to express my own voice and tell my own story. That’s when I decided to start my solo career. In 2020, I released my first single, Hijo de la Noche. That song wasn’t just a release for me it marked the beginning of a personal and artistic transformation.
I’ve never thought of music as something separate. For me, music, dance, and theater have always been deeply connected. Each one is a part of a bigger whole. The bond I’ve built with these disciplines and the background I carry have always helped me go one step further in my artistic journey.
Whenever I work on a song, I don’t just think about how it sounds. I imagine how I would move, what I’d wear, and how I’d perform it on stage. That gives me a multi-layered way of expressing myself, and I see it as a big advantage.
Coming from a strong background in both dance and theater allows me to feel completely free on stage. Choreographing my own performances is something that empowers me as a singer. It brings a whole new dimension to my artistry.
And when it comes to my music videos, I really draw from my theater roots. I create a character for each project, and theater gives me the tools to tell their story in a way that feels alive and real.
From the costume to the location, from the lighting to the style of movement, I’m involved in every detail of my videos and stage shows. That multidisciplinary perspective is what makes me feel not just like a singer, but like a complete performer. Being able to express myself across such a wide creative spectrum truly makes me feel free.
“Downtown” tells the story of a woman who boldly embraces life and follows her passions. But there’s also an illusion woven into that story because nothing is quite what it seems.
I co-wrote and composed the track with Romanian composer Anuel, who I also worked with on my debut single Hijo de la Noche. The production was handled by Neneto, a producer with strong roots in Latin music.
Musically, we pushed boundaries by blending Latin rhythms with Turkish melodies. And we carried that same vision into the music video. We filmed in a century-old historic hotel, aiming to create a magical atmosphere using ethnic elements and dance. By incorporating Latin dance styles, we tried to strike a cultural balance that felt fresh and authentic.
The video reached over a million views in its first few weeks, and seeing such a heartfelt project resonate with so many people truly moved me. With this release, I didn’t just want to put out another song; I wanted to build a world of my own. And it’s incredibly special to see that world connect with others.
I was born and raised in Istanbul, a city that stands at the crossroads of East and West. Naturally, I grew up listening to Turkish music, which shaped the early part of my musical identity.
As I got older, Latin culture became really popular in Turkey. Latin TV shows were everywhere, and artists like Ricky Martin and Shakira were huge. That’s how my love for the Spanish language first began. I would listen to their songs on repeat and memorize all the lyrics.
Later on, moving to Barcelona and traveling to different countries inspired me to think and create with a more global perspective. Even though languages change, music remains universal.
Being able to blend my own cultural roots with the Latin influences I’ve embraced along the way is something that brings me a lot of joy. It feels honest, and it feels like home.
This was definitely more than just an experience for me. Eurovision has been my childhood dream and my family and I are huge fans of the contest.
For me Eurovision is not just a competition it’s about making a dream come true. I really enjoyed every moment of it. At the same time carrying the responsibility of representing a country made it a challenging but exciting journey.
The best part was meeting artists from different countries sharing that excitement and performing a song I wrote and created myself on that stage it was truly priceless.
Next year I hope to come back even better prepared taking everything I learned this year with me as valuable experience so I can get even better results. Most of all representing Turkey in the competition is my biggest wish.
From the very beginning, I’ve wanted to create not just for Turkey but for global stages, proudly representing my country. Now, where I am today, I’ve started turning that dream into reality.
You could say I have an iconic, unique vision that blends different cultures. With positive energy, I aim to enrich the lives of the people my music reaches by taking them away from their daily struggles for a while, inspiring them, and transporting them to a different world.
As an artist who performs with an interdisciplinary approach, I truly believe I can bring a fresh breath to the music scene. But my main goal remains the same: to leave a lasting mark on the world’s stages
They definitely should keep an eye out! Right now I’m super excited about some new music projects and stage work I’m working on. I’m especially focused on a multilingual and cross-cultural stage production that’s going to push the limits both musically and visually.
I’m also planning to collaborate with local and international artists whose styles really vibe with mine. We’ve got some surprise projects coming that will mix different cultures and sounds in a fresh way.
So yeah, definitely stay tuned. There’s a lot of good stuff on the way…
